Massive Capacity

COLDSTORE 4U is our largest array, with 45 disk bays and over a petabyte of storage capacity. This is enough to store 100 HD cameras at 2Mbps for a year, or 4K cameras at 8Mbps for 90 days.

Long Disk Lifetime

All COLDSTORE models offer greatly extended disk lifetimes due to our patented Linear Array of Idle Disks (LAID) feature, which results in disks being switched off for most of the time in normal use.

The Lowest TCO

Long video retention on RAID is expensive, as all disks run all the time. In contrast, COLDSTORE uses one-tenth of the power of a comparable RAID system, reducing power costs by a factor of ten !

Playable Disks

The COLDSTORE writing pattern across the array means each disk stores a continuous period of video for all cameras. Thus any disk (and time period) could be removed and played back through DISKPLAY.
