LONGSPAN Base and Camera devices work as a pair to deliver full bandwidth Ethernet and POE Plus over greatly extended distances of regular network cable. The LONGSPAN Camera unit is usually powered by POE, but higher POE output can be achieved by the use of an optional local external PSU.
